Are there alligators/sharks/snakes/etc.?This is Florida... if there is a puddle of water, there's a chance an alligator will be in it! Having said that, the animals generally don't bother you if you don't bother them. We work hard to enjoy our beautiful natural surroundings in "active tourism", which basically means you immerse yourself in the environment but do your best to 'look but not touch' and refrain from antagonozing or disturbing the lives of the wildlife. Of course, this is not a zoo, and the wildlife is just that... wild. There is always the possibility you may see numerous animals during your tour, or none at all. But that's what makes it an adventure!

What should I bring for my kayak tour? You'll want to dress in comfortable clothing and wear shoes that you won't mind wearing in up to 12" of water (when stepping into the kayak). Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and bug spray are recommended. If you like, you may want to bring a towel and/or a change of clothes. If you bring a cell phone, we recommend using a waterproof sleeve 'just in case'. No alcohol is allowed, due to state regulations. On our kayak tours, we will provide water, kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and on our guided tours we also take complimentary photos during your paddle!
-
Can anyone do your kayak tours? We have tours that are suitable for just about all skill levels! If you have a group with mixed skill levels we can accommodate you and make sure you have a great time. If you have any question about the ability of any of your group members, please ask us when you call for your booking and we can make sure your needs are met. We do require children be at least 4 years old, and anyone under 12 must paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult.
-
Where are you located? We are located in Yulee, Florida, however we will meet you at the location for your tour. Location addresses will be provided to you during your reservation, along with any directions if needed!

What if it rains? The weather in Florida can definitely be unpredictable! This is an outdoor activity, and we won't cancel for a little rain (bring a poncho if you like!), however if we determine there will be thunderstorms, lightning, high winds forecasted 90 minutes prior to your appointment, we will reschedule you at no cost for the next available tour. If we must cancel your tour due to thunderstorms or lightning or other safety concerns, you aren't charged for the cancellation.
-
Are there age restrictions? We don't recommend our kayaking adventures for children under the age of 3. We request any children under the age of 10 ride with an adult in a tandem kayak unless they have experience kayaking. If you have any questions about age restrictions, don't hesitate to ask us during your booking!
-
Are there weight restrictions? We are equipped with kayaks that are rated to safely carry up to 500 pounds, but please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions!
-
What is your cancellation policy? To avoid charges, a 24-hour cancellation notice is required for bookings by phone. If you book your tour online, a 48 hour cancellation notice is required. If we have to cancel your tour due to bad weather, there is no cancellation charge to you. No-call/no-shows will be charged full price.
-
What are your payment options? We will hold your reservation with a valid credit card. Payment can be made using MasterCard, Visa, Discover, PayPal or cash. If you are booking one of our self-guided Eco kayak tours, a valid license is also held while the equipment is out.
